Campus Safety at the Prescott Campus is seeking a dedicated Campus Safety & Security Supervisor to oversee shift operations and ensure the safety of our campus community. This role requires a high level of integrity, professionalism, and leadership. Supervisors are responsible for managing direct reports, implementing policies and procedures, conducting investigations, and resolving security-related concerns. Must be available to work outside of normal shifts as needed, including on call availability. Compensation The hourly pay range for this position is $19 to $21, with a starting hourly pay expectation around $19. In addition, this position is eligible for an armed differential of $2.50 an hour and a shift differential of $0.96 an hour. Qualifications Qualifications: High school (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic composition, and math 3-5 years of work related experience Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities Excellent time management and prioritization abilities Experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred Required licenses, certificates, and /or security clearances: No felony convictions, must pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Valid Arizona Driver’s license, Must meet the University’s standards for approved drivers. Unacceptable driving records (as stated in the Use of Equipment and Vehicles Procedure 1.17 ) include the following (for three years from the date of each occurrence): More than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in 3 years More than 2 moving violations and/or accidents in any 1 year A major conviction in the last 3 years, including (but not limited to) driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and/or homicide or assault by motor vehicle. CPR/AED Within six months of becoming a supervisor: Dispatch functions training resulting in a comprehensive understanding of dispatch capability and the ability to work as a dispatcher if needed. Within one year of becoming a supervisor: IS – 300 Intermediate Incident Command Systems Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Clery Center Virtual Clery Act Training (VCATS) AZ DPS General Instructor Registration CRASE Instructor Individual must have excellent verbal communication abilities. The position requires the ability to write legibly, speak clearly, and manage multiple and sometimes stressful tasks (involving radio, phone, and personal communications) at the same time. At least three years’ experience in law enforcement, corrections, military, or similar role in security. Must pass annual department physical fitness assessment and firearms qualification standards.
