Apply Now!The schedule for this position is:Sunday to Wednesday, 4PM-4AM (overnight)The Pasteurizer/Batcher is responsible for ensuring all products are prepared according to recipes. (S)he will process and pasteurize ensuring that all products meet customer, state and federal guidelines.Essential DutiesMeasure ingredients, mix ingredients, and batch products to meet recipe guidelinesTake inventory and record lot numbers of ingredients used.Expertly execute the pasteurizing process including homogenization.Prepare pasteurized/raw tanks/set line circuits/CIP jumpersOperate pasteurizing systems sending product to correct tanks or tankersRun tests for butterfat and total solidsSet up tanks and line circuits for CIP, test chemicals and adjust as needed.Once completed reassemble items so they are ready for use.Keep all support equipment clean to meet state and federal guidelines.Perform basic maintenance and replace parts on the equipment as necessaryResponsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated areaReport any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPsFollow Quality Assurance standards and collect required samples, as needed, for Quality Assurance testing.Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.Follow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.Other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma orGED preferred6+ months in manufacturing, dairy or another related field preferredForklift certified or willing to become certifiedAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Fluency in English; speak, read and writeAbility to work in cold and wet environment for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from cold to hotDemonstrates a mechanical aptitude and can work and maneuver in tight and awkward areas and positions.Ability to operate equipment at recommended speeds and communicate mechanical and operational defects as they arise.Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.Must be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.Physical DemandsRegularly stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and armsRegularly stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;Regularly taste or smell productOccasionally sit and occasionally climb ladders or work on a platformFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Corporate SummaryAt Shamrock Foods Company, people come first
