Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Prescott, AZ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,180 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a progressive care unit License: Active and in good standing nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. - Minimum 1 year of progressive care experience. - EKG knowledge and skills. - IV cardiac medication administration. - Experience with peritoneal dialysis, chronic ventilators, chest tubes, epidural catheters, PCA pumps, transvenous pacing, and arterial or venous sheath pulling/care. Description: The role is for an acute care Registered Nurse caring for patients undergoing cardiovascular and surgical services. The unit has up to 20 beds, accommodating both single and double occupancy rooms. The nurse will utilize equipment such as cardiac monitors, vital signs monitors, Medtronic pacemakers, an EMR system, and various IV pumps. Nurses are expected to deliver care to patients with conditions such as STEMI, NSTEMI, and patients recovering from open heart surgery. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing complex patient care needs, including those related to chronic ventilators and renal disease. The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1 RN to 3-4 PCU patients, depending on acuity. The dress code consists of navy scrubs and business appropriate hair color. This role may require floating to other units, primarily to intensive care and medical/surgical/telemetry units. A fast-paced environment with a focus on cardiac care is anticipated, including acute interventions and post-operative recovery.
