Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Varied work schedule with weekend and holiday requirements • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of ICU patients • Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills for critical care patients • Current valid RN license required in state of practice or compact RN licensure • BLS certification required • Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required • Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as RN in specialty area • Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to ICU area • Bachelor's degree preferred • Professional certification preferred • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate comprehensive plans of care including discharge planning • Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Provide supervision and direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics • Requires adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills, and eye-hand coordination Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing critical care services and specialized ICU treatment.
