Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories, an innovative leader in diagnostic
testing, is seeking a dedicated Surgical Pathology Assistant I to
join our Laboratory Services team in Arizona. This role is critical
in assisting pathologists with examinations and tests necessary for
surgical pathology diagnosis. By joining our team, you will be part
of a joint venture between Banner Health and Quest Diagnostics,
playing a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic insights
that aid patient care. Prepare and process surgical specimens for
examination by a pathologist. Assist with postmortem examinations
and autopsy procedures. Ensure proper specimen documentation and
maintain accurate records. Operate and maintain laboratory
equipment. Comply with all clinical laboratory safety protocols.
Collaborate with medical personnel to enhance patient care.
Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS). Strong
understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology. Excellent
manual dexterity and precision. Capable of conducting detailed work
with high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational skills and
ability to handle multiple tasks. Effective communication skills,
both written and verbal. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Pathologists'
Assistant (PA) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology
(ASCP) preferred.
