About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN

per Shift: 12 hours (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) Experience: Recent
graduates and candidates with less than 1 year of experience in
skilled nursing or long-term care experience are encouraged to
apply. License: Valid RN license required Certifications: Current
CPR certification preferred Description: Schedule: 12-hour shifts
from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Administer medication and perform
treatments as ordered by the physician and within the scope of
license. Receive and deliver information regarding residents'
medical, social, functional, and other needs. Participate in
receiving and giving shift reports. Communicate with residents,
families, and staff to ensure appropriate care from the
interdisciplinary team. Perform initial admission nursing
assessments on newly admitted residents. Assist with the
development of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, ongoing
quarterly reviews, and care plans. Maintain appropriate clinical
and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments,
treatment, and summaries of client progress. Lead and supervise
subordinate staff as needed, assisting with direct resident care
for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing,
eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility. Conduct and
participate in in-service training and staff development programs
for regularly employed staff. Utilize concepts and tools for
problem-solving and continuous improvement. Other duties may be
assigned as related to the position. Knowledge of gerontological
and geriatric nursing theory and practices is required. Understand
residents' changing medical, physical, and psychological care
needs. Knowledge of team nursing practices and procedures for
developing treatment plans. Understand pharmacology and medication
practices. Familiarity with federal, state, and agency regulations
governing nursing practices. Observe and assess the behavior and
progress of patients. Ability to develop and carry out patient care
plans within a team nursing concept is necessary. Effective oral
and written communication skills are required. Build strong
interpersonal relationships with residents and team members.
Ability to learn and implement improvement methods and tools.
