About the Position Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Operating Room
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3
years in clinical nursing and/or operating room practical
experience License: Valid, current, full and unrestricted
Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of
the United States or a territory of the United States.
Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart
Association - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the
American Heart Association - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
from the American Heart Association within six months of hire - NIH
Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completed within six months of hire -
Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) within one year of hire -
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within two years of hire Must-Have:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing Description: The Clinical
Nurse provides care for the perioperative patient. The nursing
process includes assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses,
planning interventions, and evaluation of interventions based on
patient outcomes. The Operating Room clinical nurse is expected to
circulate in all specialty areas which may include Orthopedics,
ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental. Obtaining
scrubbing experience is highly encouraged. The nurse may need to
work varied, odd hours when on call and must be prepared for
emergency cases on very short notice. Requirements Required for
