We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as our Director of Advanced Practice Providers within an established, gynecology-only practice in the Phoenix/Scottsdale/Mesa area. This role is designed for an APP leader who is passionate about developing people, strengthening clinical workflows, and driving alignment across multidisciplinary care teams. The Director of Advanced Practice Providers provides operational leadership and strategic oversight of all APPs across the organization while maintaining a limited clinical presence to support clinical integration and credibility. In close partnership with physician leadership, the President/COO, HR, and Operations, this role supports standardization of workflows, productivity optimization, provider engagement, and professional development. As a standing member of the Senior Leadership Committee, the APP Director plays a key role in organizational planning, growth initiatives, and the ongoing development of our APP Fellowship Program. RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. · Provide direct leadership, management, and support to all Advanced Practice Providers across clinics and service lines · Serve as the primary operational leader and point of accountability for the APP department · Help establish, implement, and monitor expectations for schedules, clinic coverage, productivity, and attendance · Monitor APP productivity, access, utilization, and quality metrics and implement performance improvement plans as needed · Work closely with Medical Director and Leadership on the establishment and implementation of practice specific KPI for all APPs · Will work closely with Medical Director and other members of the leadership team on maintaining and overseeing the APP Fellowship Program · Oversee APP staffing models, deployment, and workforce planning · Take the lead (with assistance from HR and administration as requested by APP Director) on the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and orientation of APPs · Approve CTO and manage attendance in accordance with organizational policy · Address performance concerns, coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary matters in partnership with HR · Partner with Medical Directors and supervising physicians to ensure APP practice aligns with scope of practice and protocols · Serve as primary advocate for APP engagement, morale, retention, and professional development · Represent the APP program as a standing member of the Senior Leadership Committee · Participate in operational planning, growth initiatives, and organizational strategy · Ensure compliance with all clinical policies and regulatory requirements Requirements: · Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Arizona · DEA registration (or ability to obtain) · Minimum of 5–7 years of APP experience, with prior leadership experience preferred · Strong operational, communication, and conflict resolution skills · Experience with electronic medical record systems (Athena preferred)
