Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, Intermediate Fetal
Monitoring, NRP Must-Have: L&D, Postpartum, Mother-baby, and
Nursery experience Description: Unit provides care for patients
from labor through discharge. The RN will work three 12-hour shifts
from 7 PM to 7 AM. Two years of experience is required. Candidates
must have ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and NRP certifications. There are no
high-risk deliveries; all patients are 36 weeks or greater. The
unit handles cases involving diabetic and substance abuse issues
with mothers. Special care or high-risk infants will be transported
out. The RN must be able to stabilize infants and provide care
during labor and delivery. Circulating during C-sections is not
required, but infant care is necessary during such occurrences. The
RN must be able to multitask and care for more than one laboring
patient at a time. BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal heart monitoring
competencies are required. Housing options may be available for
