TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
ICU/Critical Care RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85013! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular
Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per
Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
required; CCRN preferred Must-Have: MUST HAVE LEVEL I TRAUMA
EXPERIENCE. Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, with
two attempts allowed. Travelers must have their own vehicles.
Candidates must have natural hair color and no facial piercings.
Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing. All nurses must complete
a pass/fail exam on the first day of orientation. Pass/fail SIMs
Lab includes Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing
changes. Candidates who break sterile field in SIMs Lab may be
terminated. High level of competency in maintaining a sterile field
is expected and vital. Common patient types include cardiac surgery
recovery, lung transplant, and more. Description: The nursing unit
has a very high acuity level. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 to
1:2, with a high number of 1:1 assignments. Charge nurses do not
have patient assignments. The unit is equipped with telemetry
monitoring systems. Intensivists are present during the day and
on-call at night. Strong IV skills are required, as there is no
dedicated IV team. Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are
available 24/7. Traveling nurses may float to other intensive care
units and telemetry units as needed. Common diagnoses include use
of devices such as Empellas, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO. Nurses will be
involved in a high number of bedside procedures including
bronchoscopy and epidural placement. Cancellation policy allows for
up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment. Charting
is done using an electronic medical record system. Weekend
requirements include 3 shifts in a 4-week schedule. Holidays will
be incorporated into the work rotation. Scrub color is navy blue.
Nurses will receive 2 days of floor-specific orientation before
