Job Title: Quality Assurance Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 28 days Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Arizona Certifications: Infection Preventionist Certification required Must-Have: DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required Valid AZ Driver's License is required Description: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse. The schedule is flexible with options available from 7 AM to 5 PM. This position will involve 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with varied weekends as needed. The role covers Quality Assurance Nurse duties, Staff Education, and Infection Preventionist responsibilities. Responsibilities include implementing policies and procedures related to quality assurance. The nurse will utilize guidelines such as nursing home regulations and facility practices. Data will be gathered and analyzed through audits and interviews to monitor compliance across all disciplines and departments. The nurse will review monthly reports and develop Quality Assurance Performance Improvement plans where necessary. Preparation and distribution of reports, data summaries, and statistical analyses are required for facility staff. Periodic reports summarizing facility compliance with established goals are to be prepared. The nurse will assist in developing and implementing corrective action plans. Monitoring and reporting on facility plans to correct deficiencies identified will be the nurse's responsibility. Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and Veterans Administration regulations is critical. The nurse will investigate incidents of non-compliance as they arise. Collaboration with management to investigate allegations of abuse or neglect is required. The nurse will coordinate facility preparation for surveys and chair internal Quality Assurance Committee meetings. Identifying training needs and developing educational programs for staff regarding quality assurance and compliance is essential. The nurse will evaluate the quality of training and ensure staff competency. Maintenance of compliance documentation is necessary. Daily infection control surveillance rounds to confirm compliance with individual care plans are required. Staying informed on current information and attending educational opportunities related to quality assurance is expected. Knowledge in management principles, regulatory policies, and statistical techniques is necessary. Skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking are essential.
