ICU/Critical Care RN in Show Low, Arizona, 85901! Job Title: ICU
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of experience in an ICU setting Experience
with basic ICU equipment Ability to float to other areas if
experienced Description: The position requires working nights from
1800 to 0630. Self-scheduling is available with preferences taken
into account. A minimum of 3 weekend shifts is required per 4-week
schedule. The unit typically has a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Common patient cases include pneumonia, ventilator management,
post-catheterization, and various acute medical conditions.
Experience with common ICU drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and
Levophed is essential. Respiratory therapy support is available
24/7 in the unit. Support staff includes patient care technicians
and a health unit secretary. The nurse manager occasionally
participates in direct patient care as needed. Floating to the
emergency department or medical-surgical unit may be required based
on experience. No specific cardiac surgical or neuro surgery cases
will be handled. Additional equipment used includes cardiac
monitoring and intervention systems. Candidates must be comfortable
with ventilator management and basic ICU protocols. House
