TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Postpartum RN in Glendale, California, 91204! Pay
Information $2,406 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse - Post Partum Profession: RN (Registered Nurse)
Specialty: Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights EOW;

Minimum of 2 years in Post Partum License: Required Certifications:
BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: 2 years of
prior experience in Post Partum. Description: Unit has 10 labor and
delivery beds and 2 operating rooms. There are 2 triage beds and 18
postpartum beds. Approximately 130 births per month, with 40-60
cesarean sections monthly. The nurse-patient ratio is 4:1 for
couplets. Charting is done using Cerner. Charge Nurse duties are
shared between labor and delivery and postpartum. There are no
nurse aides or OB techs available on the unit. Weekend requirements
include 4 shifts in a 4-week period. There is no call requirement.
Major holidays include Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day.
Scrub colors are provided. There is no telemetry, but transfers are
arranged with a 30-minute response time. There are no ventilators
on the unit. On-site OB and neonatologist coverage is not currently
available, but efforts are being made to establish it. There is a
round-the-clock respiratory therapy and pharmacy support. Shifts
are 12 hours long, from 0645 to 1915 and 1845 to 0715. Floating
occurs only for those with NICU backgrounds for feeder/grower, and
from labor and delivery to postpartum. Floor-specific orientation
consists of 2 shifts. Common diagnoses include antepartum
conditions, hypertension, and deliveries as early as 23 weeks, with
attempts made to transfer high-risk patients prior to delivery.
Perinatology support is available. The facility maintains a
cancellation policy allowing for up to 4 shift cancellations per
