• Certification Details
• Must have current state license, and ACLS/BLS certifications.
• Required Certifications include BLS, ACLS.
  • Job Details
  • Hospital in AZ in need of RNs to float between PCU, Tele, and Med Surg.
  • Must have 2 years experience in med/tele and 1 year PCU.
    • Job Requirements
    • at least 1 year in PCU setting.
    • RNs required to titrate drips.
    • Travelers must be comfortable managing the majority of these drips.
    • Nurses must be able to interpret strips.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 7-7 for AM and PM.
      • Schedule is published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time.
      • Travelers will need to be flexible.
      • Night shift will try to accommodate for block scheduling.
      • Every Other Weekend Requirements.
      • Will include travelers in perm staff rotation for Holidays.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • What units are included in the float pool: MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses.
        • Experience or 'Must have' skills: at least 1 year in PCU setting.
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin.
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor details provided.
        • RT Equipment: CPAP or Bipap at night in MedSurg, BiPAP, CPAP and Heated High flow in PCU.
        • Schedule Details: 7-7 for AM and PM, Scheduling practices explained.
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Currently - solid color professional scrubs. Will align with Dignity guideline which will be Navy scrubs in October.
        • Unit/Department specific orientation: 8 hour day of general hospital orientation, 12 hour shift at West MedTele, and 12 hour shift at PCU at West.
          • Additional Details
          • Nurse:Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4 MedSurg Tele 1:5-6.
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients include geriatric patients, ortho patients, and post procedural patients.
          • Each unit will have a charge nurse, will not take assignments.
          • Will utilize nurse aids in all settings.
          • Distance between campuses is around 20-25 minutes.
