REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Director
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SCOPE OF WORK: The Front of House Manager (FOH) is responsible for
scheduling, training and directing all FOH staff. Perform
designated supervisory duties pertaining to all FOH staff.
Requisition supplies. Ensure that superior customer service is
provided at all times. Supervise all FOH and Food & Beverage staff
in the absence of the Food & Beverage Director. Provide hands-on
backup in staff members' absences.
Will become familiar with the Tribal/State Gaming Compact, National
Indian Gaming Commission's (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control
Standards (MICS), the Tribal Gaming Code, Indian Gaming Regulatory
Act (IGRA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Title 31, and Departmental
Internal Controls and Job Instructions.
WORK PERFORMED:
This job description does not constitute an employment agreement
between the Tribe and the employee and is subject to change as the
needs of the Tribe and requirements of the position change. The
above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but
rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities
associated with this position;
Will work to orient new and existing FOH personnel concerning Job
Instructions and on the job training associated with the Point of
Sale Systems;
Will work closely with the Food & Beverage Director to assist in
reviewing error reports associated with the Point of Sale
System;
Will assist in verifying and posting invoices into the Point of
Sale System while maintaining and updating records;
Will assist in Food & Beverage meetings with information regarding
the Point of Sale System;
Will review and investigate any discrepancies regarding the
statistical information on the Retail and Point of Sale System;
Will assist the Food & Beverage Department with preparation and
maintenance of Job Instructions applicable to the Point of Sale
System;
Will assist the Food & Beverage Director in reviewing Food &
Beverage Profit & Loss (P & L) statements and General Ledger
posting for accuracy;
Will work at training of all Food & Beverage staff to enhance
customer service;
Will be responsible for all Food & Beverage production in absence
of the Food & Beverage Director;
Will cover shifts as needed to enhance customer service;
Will perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED;
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to the
Tribe/Gaming's Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy during the
course of employment;

Must pass a background security check prior to and during the
course of employment with the Tribe/Gaming Agency in order to meet
the Tribal State Compact and/or Tribal Gaming Ordinance;
Must adhere to all Tribal/Gaming Agency Personnel Policies and
Procedures;
Must have a valid Arizona Driver's License and be insurable under
the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe's Auto Insurance Carrier;
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a
strong orientation to superior customer service;
Must be able to understand and use the Point of Sale system;
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including opening,
closing, weekend and holiday shifts;
Must have the ability to prepare work schedules to accommodate the
needs of the customers;
Must be self-reliant and capable of working independently as
appropriate or necessary;
Must be reliable, a hard working individual and a team player;
Must be able to work independently;
Must meet grooming standards;
Must possess strong organizational skills;
Must have an energetic personality;
Must obtain a Food Handlers Certificate;
Must attend alcohol training class and obtain a TIPS/Alcohol
certification;
Must have basic computer skills;
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
Must be able to lift, and periodically carry, up to 50 lbs.;
Must be able to work flexible hours.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Prefer an Associate's degree;
Prefer Professional Culinary Degree or equivalent combination of
culinary training and/or experience;
Prefer at least two years serving experience;
Prefer knowledge of inventory control and ordering;
Prefer prior supervisory experience preferred. Associated topics:
