Service Plumber with be performing service calls, maintenance, install, repair, on Gas, Water, Waste, and Mechanical Piping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): · Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade · Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices · Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings · Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper · Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted · Excellent problem-solving skills · Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously · Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements · Familiar with plumbing trade terminology Supervisory Responsibilities: No Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: · Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. · Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner · Technical Skills - Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, Shares expertise with others. · Communication - Able to read and interpret written information use of Electronic Device. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One to two years prior Service Plumbing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Trade Schooling, Backflow Experience and Certifications is a plus Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience operating all types of construction equipment and be capable of working with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate is willing to follow directions and closely adhere to construction industry safety standards. The position is primarily located outdoors, and the selected candidates will be expected to work under all types of weather conditions.
