and abilities have been achieved. Job Description: Salary : $60,000
per year The main function of this critical Career Services role is
to serve as a bridge between ASU Career Services and academic
colleges in the development of career-focused programs and
engagement for our diverse population of students. The primary
focus is collaborating with the ASU community by building
relationships internally and externally, leveraging technology
tools, networking and understanding employer hiring practices. This
work is accomplished through researching to understand the needs of
students and developing programs or resources to meet those needs.
Examples of program development include workshops, alumni panels,
curriculum, presentations, career integrations, and classroom
assignments. Creative solutions and innovative thinking are key to
moving our work forward. While the main focus of this role is not
student-facing, some opportunities to work directly with students
and alumni come through career programming, presentations, and
workshops. Work schedule and location: Career Services serves
students and recent alumni on-campus, virtually and at events
during the timeframe of Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Staff
may have varied schedules to support students, alumni, and employer
partners. Job location is primarily located at the Downtown campus;
however, the incumbent will travel to other ASU Phoenix locations
frequently for meetings, programs, etc. What’s in it for you:

the career liaison to assigned academic colleges/units, as well
other ASU departments. This includes regularly partnering with
faculty and staff to assess and support the career readiness of
students. Creates strategies for increasing student engagement in
career events and resources using data and metrics along with input
from faculty, staff, and industry experts. Designs and facilitates
programs and initiatives focused on student career development and
professional success; including but not limited to alumni and
employer panels and networking events. Liaison responsibilities to
assigned partners include regular communication via email,
in-person meetings, and targeted program development and
implementation. Partners may include Edson College of Nursing,
College of Health Solutions, and additional support for all other
academic partners on the Downtown Phoenix Campus. Supports career
development for all students through culturally competent programs
and resources. Conducts ongoing research through benchmarking peer
institutions, connecting with professional associations, and
participating in career and professional development conferences to
understand and provide information about post-graduation
opportunities for students. Collaborates with Career Services
communications team to drive marketing strategies for
programming/events and distribute amongst partners. Stays current,
understands and shares relevant student engagement and employer
hiring data with key stakeholders across assigned liaison
college(s), Educational Outreach and Student Services and community
partners. Regularly records and reports on data related to
outreach, event participation, employer engagement, and other
position responsibilities. Supports broad career services
initiatives such as advising, resume reviews, presentations, and
other critical functions in instances of high influx needs.
Prepares materials and programs promoting Career Services and
serves on liaison college and other university committees
supporting recruitment, retention, graduation and student success.
Desired Qualifications: Experience building and managing
relationships across multiple departments/teams. Experience in
customizing events to specific audience and demographic needs
(virtual events and in-person events ranging in size of 20-500
attendees). Experience building, customizing and facilitating
presentation and workshop content. Experience working with students
across different disciplines and industries. Experience reviewing
and analyzing data sets to inform decision making. Experience in
work that requires attention to detail and record keeping.
Experience in prioritizing varied workload and meeting multiple,
overlapping deadlines. Evidence of effective verbal and written
communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office applications
and database management systems. Can effectively demonstrate
knowledge of specific applications such as: Outlook, PowerPoint,
Google Drive. Working Environment: Lifting and carrying materials,
as well as, pulling and pushing carts of up to 30 lb. Additional
movement requirements include climbing, balancing, stooping,
kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Sitting and standing for
prolonged periods; 50% sitting; 25% standing; 25% walking

services, and resources at all four Phoenix area locations, as well
as ASU Online. Staff work collaboratively with Career Services
leadership and staff at each location, and as part of the
Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) Vice Presidential
area. EOSS provides the ASU student community with support
services, involvement opportunities and a rich Sun Devil experience
to assist students in achieving their personal and academic goals.
