    • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, family studies, psychology, or a behavioral or social science-related field
    • One year of experience with victim advocacy, social work, crisis intervention, or a related fieldWe Also Value
      • Two years of experience with victim advocacy, social work, crisis intervention, or a related field which includes experience managing cases
      • Experience working in a criminal justice system
      • Public service experience working in a victim or advocate-related capacity
      • Bilingual skills in English and SpanishJob Contributions
        • Provide information on the criminal justice system and on victims' legal rights and protections
        • Provide information on the criminal justice process, serve as a provide court accompaniment, and attend court proceedings with, or on behalf of a victim
        • Identify resources for victims and make referrals to various social service agencies
        • Provide crisis intervention/short-term counseling
        • Research case status using numerous computer databases, in person or by phone
        • Manage large caseloads, documents and prepare reports and present findings
        • Work in the presence of or with a trained canine that comforts victimsWorking Conditions
          • High volume, fast-paced office environment
          • Ability to move up to 20 pounds floor to waist, pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds at a distance of up to 100 feet
          • Requires travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County or private vehicles used on County business
          • Valid Arizona driver's license upon hire Selection Procedure
